Twitter buzz surrounds possible Nicki Minaj concert in Dubai

Popstar Nicki Minaj has tweeted that she is set to visit Dubai.

The excited singer took to Twitter on Monday saying: “We're making a stop in Dubai. Yaay!”

Minaj is currently on her Pink Friday tour and is set to perform in The Philippines on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day she had tweeted: “Next Stop: The Philippines!!! Still sick tho :(“

It was not clear whether the Starships singer was stopping in Dubai en route to the Philippines or if her tweet was referring to a possible concert date.

However ‏@QatarLiveEvents on Monday tweeted: “Still waiting for Nicki Minaj to announce her #Dubai #DXB date, my contacts tell me a deal has been done!”

Fans took to Twitter to express their excitement at her visit to the emirate although one tweeter offered a word of warning to the singer tweeting: “When u visit ‪#Dubai, please follow ‪#UAEDressCode law and ‪#UAEDecency law, thanks.”
