More than 260 vehicles have been seized in Abu Dhabi because they were illegally modified.
Each owner has also been fined Dhs900.
Brigadier Hussain Ahmed Al Harthi, director-general of the Abu Dhabi Traffic and Patrols Directorate, said motorists with modified cars had been given until June 10 to restore their vehicles to their original specifications.

“We have started a comprehensive traffic campaign to seize all vehicles that violate regulations,” he added.
The campaign targets car owners who have vehicle modifications that increase noise or speed.
The aim of the campaign is to prevent nuisance behaviour and cut the number of accidents.
