DP World 'beating the heat' in UAE
DP World workers will get cooling neck-bands and rehydration drinks as part of the firm's annual “Beat the Heat” campaign.
The summer initiative focuses on outdoor workers in Jebel Ali Port, Port Rashid, Al Hamriya Port and Fujairah Container Terminal, and will last three months.
Packs will be distributed to 6,000 employees in the operational areas such as the terminals, container freight stations, and in the technical, marine and general cargo departments.

Each pack consists of special cooling neck-bands, fast-hydrating drinks and information on protection against extreme hot weather.
Educational posters will also be also displayed and pocket cards distributed within the company’s facilities.
Mohammed Al Muallem, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of DP World in the UAE, said: “The safety and health of our employees is an absolute priority, and the hot summer months bring particular dangers, especially for those working outdoors.
"The campaign delivers essential support to our people on the ground and brings them some relief during the hot summer months.”
