Bring in some technology to tackle tennis grunters

Following up to the letter ‘What a racket - grunting tennis stars are a turn off’ (July 5)...

...I started muting my TV during the match between Victoria Azerenka and Maria Sharapova at the Australian Open this year because of the grunting from the pair.

They said that’s the way they play and they feel sorry for those players who can’t handle the noise. The players have been at it again at Wimbledon. I hope the WTA immediately brings in a plan for a ‘grunting machine’ to measure the loudness of the noise and the players can be reprimanded.
